are buinary stars always red giants?

I made a system that has a binary star pair & they seem to always spawn as a pair of red giants based on ~4-5 maps.  Has anyone ever seen a binarystar pair that was not dual red giants?

I thought most binaries are yellow. Hey how do you mod in binary stars, and what percent would you recommend it they require a percent.

Thanks for the info, I was going to bed & wasn't sure if I wanted to fiddle with trying for variation, figured that if nobody had ever seen  a non-red giant there was a reason they spawned that way.  I did it in StarSystemDefs.xml for a starting system as part of a larger thing I'm working on.  now that the tech tree(s) are done, I had to nail down the starting system before trying my hand at a campaign

About real space I read conflicting things. First most stars are red dwarfs, and almost never become binaries. Second most stars are binaries.
