IP Beta 10

Loading an IP Suite

Have never posted before, so please bear with me. Am pleased that we have an IP Beta 10. I cannot load Apogee Suite that's an .exe file. Am using a non touch-screen Toshiba, purchased with Windows 10. Some of my other ICO (*.ip)packages have loaded successfully, others not with the beta. Apogee is the only .exe suite that I have. The laptop warns me not to load it, and when I attempt to do so anyway, even as Admin., Win 10 will not allow it.

Any coaching, step-by-step, will be greatly appreciated. Many THX...Gerry_W1

There already is a Bug report feedback thread were you should post these kind of questions... ;)

If that's a premium icon pack from Stardock, the older ones were signed without timestamps which means Windows 10 will refuse to allow it to run as it does not know it is valid.  Stupidly an unsigned exe can be run.

I will raise this internally about getting the installers resigned which will fix this and then you would need to redownload those.

ALL .ip themes should work with IP10 in the same way they worked with IP5.x

These steps may help:

  1. Put the file on the desktop
  2. Open the Start menu
  3. Type 'cmd'
  4. Right-click on "Command Prompt"
  5. Select "Run as administrator"
If prompted for credentials, fill them in or accept the prompt
  6. Type: %homepath%\Desktop
  7. Type the name of the file (or start typing and press [Tab]
  8. Press [Enter]
