[Bug] Benovlent Trait: Explorers

Grants a free class 10 planet. Places the planet far away from the associated Star, this is a mild placing I have had them placed upto 25 hexes away from thier associated Star (I think it does this due to Starbases cluttering the map):-

I would also like to know what goes into the planet placement. I would prefer it to be IN the home system as that is typically my main war machine shipyard. Is there a way to mod where the 'bonus' planet is placed?

Not that I can see. It uses DiscoverNearbyPlanetOfClass which is in the ModiferEffectTypes.xsd, there is no associated xml for us to play with regarding that schema or the actions code(which I think are in a dll) contained within it.

So, does that mean in order to get it to 'land said planet closer' we have to politely ask the internal developers (Paul and Company) to fix it at their end?

Yup :)

While it would be nice to have the new planet in your home system, I don't think that would fit the back story where explorers discover a previously unknown colonizable planet since if said planet were in the home system it certainly would've been known long ago. However, it could and should be in a really nearby system.

In my current game, I'm going down the Benevolent tree, and when I used this buff it was placed almost next to its star, outside of my home system. However, when I reached the Class 16 planet, that was placed quite distant from its star (which conveniently was my home system). I agree that it should try to be closer in, but maybe its tracking how much clutter there is and trying to space things out when it draws the new planets.
