Can't do diplomacy

I'm having an issue with trade agreements. I can see the other parties stuff, but I can only see my credits. Example: 

 I can't make any alliances etc. What's causing this?

Try to verify your Steam GC3 game files.

 

You can find that option in your Steam library in the GC3 properties (right click GC3 in library).

I have the same issue and it's related to resolution and UI size.

1080p / Small works fine and 4k / Large not. Values in between can also fail.

They said they were going to look into this.

I tried that - it did fix something, but as soon as I load the save, it breaks again.

i had this issue crop up today with only 1 race that race had more then 10000 power rating the only race with 10k rating the only race i cant do anything with.

for those that are having this issue could you verify what im seeing check your power rating or the power rating of the person you are trading with.

I'm having the problem with everyone, and only me and one AI are above 10k. Only one minor race is above 100.

the one race that had 10 k power i could only ask for credits from them but offer them anything I had essentially the opposite of your pic

all the other races were fine 

so my hypothesis is that a race that has more then 10k power can only offer credits. 

 

You say there is one other race that has 10k power what happens when you try and trade with them?

Since patch 1.71 it should show unavailable treaties as well (greyed out) so I don't think that's true.

I have over 10k Power(11.3k) in my current game and I am still able to trade with the AI, closest AI in power it 8.7k.

I can only see their credits. Going above 10k power breaks diplomacy, apparently. What an odd bug.

ok so theres a corralation and it also seems to have something to do with ui size as some people have said most likely the med ui does not like 5 digits in the power rating for some reason

I've tried changing the UI size from small all the way up to large and I still hit the same bug. Interestingly, when I tried starting the program to change the UI size, then closed it without loading a game, rerunning the file validation showed a corrupt file again. It may be an unrelated problem, but starting the program is enough to cause the file validation to fail.
