"Tutorial Crash"[Help Required]

Okay so I got this game a couple weeks ago during its sale, just started up and starting playing the tutorial i'm about 30 minuets in and I just constructed a "Star Base", as soon as I select "Sponsor Settings" the game crashes to the desktop.

Yes my driver is update
Yes I reinstalled all the software (vrdirect, direct X, etc.)
Yes I verified and repaired the game within GoG

Thats a known issue and is now fixed with the 1.71 preview opt-in patch, Id sugest you opt-in to the beta patch. Goto Steam rightclick on GalCiv3 goto Properties, click on the Beta tab and select - opt_in_update - Preview v1.71 from the drop down then click close. it should download an install the patch.

The opt-in is not available on GOG, only Steam.

the opt in is an un-official patch its usually available a week or so earlier than the official patch baring any major problems

We sometimes release opt-in versions of the patch for a limited number of people to try and give feedback on. When the full update is released it will be available on GOG once they push the update.
