Is the AI effected by Coercion?

Pretty much as the title says :D

Edit

Reason I am asking is in the AIStrategies there are settings of the wheel that would cause high coercion which is not a good thing, atleast for players. Wonderign if the AI get to circumvent this? O:)

Also wondering if they get 130% production out of the Wartime strategy slider settings of 0.3 Wealth/ 0.5 Manufacturing/ 0.5 Research.

I've wondered that myself as their 'research' and 'manufacturing' graphs often swing about wildly (presumably to meet some objective and due to changing their national wheel). Attempts to replicate such temporary massive research or whatever for a few turns doesn't seem to work for the human player due to the coercion. (If you look when you do it vs when an AI ramps up research for 10 turns or something - their other production doesn't seem to fall as much as yours when you do similar). Maybe the AI is just setting up their stuff differently or has other bonuses that compensate for the coercion though and they are getting it, it just doesn't matter as much (I play incredible so I guess the AI has decent bonuses across the board).

I'm almost 100% sure it doesn't - they total is taken as 100% and then the correct position is calculated as a % of that. In the example above, it would get just under 40% each for manu/res and just over 20% for wealth, though it's also unlikely to stick overly closely to that either - it'll use much more wealth than it ought to usually, as it's pretty careful to avoid bankruptcy and so will try to break even once it reaches the strategy's stated wealth floor.

As to coercion... I've no idea if it is effected or not, but due to it pushing wealth up to match expenses when it's running a deficit, it would cancel out any coercion it ought to be receiving anyway.

This problem existed in two when there is no graph. It's not the graph its that they spend in a negative. Then all production shuts down untill you are in a positive. Where the ai doesn't fix the problem so it starts over. This is an old problem.
