No ideology events post 34 colonies

Greetings Stardock. I submitted a ticket. I provided two saves, one about 30 turns prior and one at my 34th planet. I am no longer getting Ideology events at my 34th colony. This time I have no mods and was just using custom races including all the majors and minors. 

Has anyone else had this issue?

Are you talking about the "Colonizing Events" when you colonize a planet? If so, I just colonized my 43rd and got the event as usual. No mods, just custom races (no Gauntlet's this time) but with no custom ships or anything like that.

I have had this as well, in both of my games post 1.7 release. I had assumed it was a change that was made that I missed. Hopefully it is a bug and it gets fixed, I rather like trying to fill up all 3 trees on a large map.

As mentioned in your other post about this issue https://forums.galciv3.com/477004/page/1/#3633106 I'm experiencing the same problem when colonizing my 34th planet.

Tried 3 different insane/abundant games and the issue reoccured in all of them. I also submitted a ticket and a savegame spotlighting the issue.

Ok, Thanks Pshaw, if you all are aware of it and can fix it I am good. Very happy to find that you found the little guy (the bug) and will crush it under Stardocks Iron shod boots of programing goodness!

Since so many people have hit this bug and we had a devil of time figuring it out, I thought I'd share some background:

The code was makes sure that you'd used all of the events before recycling them.  When the game got to the end of the list of "normal" events it incorrectly was jumping to the precursor events for normal worlds.  This is why we couldn't easily reproduce it initially -- I would colonize a dozen or so worlds with one set of map settings and everything seemed fine.  I would start another game with different settings and still no repro!  The trick was that have to colonize roughly 30 planets in the same game before the game started displaying the precursor colonization events .  However, we started to get some reports with the magic number and we're finally able to track it down.  The fix was actually pretty easy.  The fix happened at the cusp of 1.7 release and didn't make it in.

I wanted to update this post and confirm the bug still exists. I just was in a game and finally got to about 34 planets colonized last night and on my 34th one I did not get an event. 

I was asked to play a game with no mods no ini tweaks just the base game. I did and after that 34th planet ( I had invaded 10), no more events. 

 

I am glad the Team at Stardock got it figured out.

I just hit the bug at 31st colonized planet (including one precusor world).

Does that mean there are no more than 30 standard colonization events?

I updated my ticket and they responded that they are working on it. From the post above, it appears they know the problem and that it is either fixed or being fixed and the 'patch with the fix' will be in the next update. 


Pshaw is there a kinda ETA on when this fix will be in?

Ideological events are really fun when colonizing. It would be nice to some a couple dozen more and new ones either in a DLC or the next X-pack.

Seconded. And it could be fun to include some 'mixed' options for play styles that are Malevolent with a Pragmatic streak or Polyamourus Pragmatics, etc.
