I am playing a 0.3h game and loading any save game after the auto-save game will crash. Even if I just save an unchanged auto-save game will create a crash. I'm playing as the Federation on turn 263. The autosave file will load but any file saved after that won't load. Any ideas?

Odd, I can load my saves fine. Nothign in that debug to suggest an issue either. Try doing a verify local files.

Two files were missing and were replaced. But now the past 4 saved games won't run. Is that usual?

Also, for the Federation unique wonders, I don't think they mentioned that they are one to a civilization.

Going to change them for 0.4, make them all Galactic Wonders so there will be a notification when AI/Players build them.

Okay after I reinstalled GC3 - I notice if you just use your files From NexusMods (Dropbox link don't appear to work any more) Alpha 0.3H doesn't include the Fraction files for the My Games Directory and was missing the  Star Trek - Star Names folder from the Mods folder if that is still used.  I believe we need a new complete set of download files to run GST 0.4 when you are ready.

And on loading the Mod I get this when trying to run the game:

Make sure you have removed all the mods from the mod folder.

Redownload 0.3h + Patch and Overflow fix. Install all 3.

I just did this and it works fine.

0.4 is currently Broken and unplayable.

Thanks I did another Local Game Files Cache Verify and found a duplicate DLC folder I created awhile ago.

Sorry to hear that you haven't gotten Version 0.4 of GST to run yet.  Played with the Borg (overpowered to be sure but that is of course the challenge if you let the AI run them) and Klingons a bit - looking forward to doing that again when you get 0.4 running. 

I hope Frogboy can get around to updating the AI and getting some game tweaks done before Crusade Expansion.  Playing GC3 without Mods to change the default ShipBlueprints, Diplomacy, and general AI is pretty lack luster (not exploring Anomalies for Ships, Credits and Tech is pretty weak game play).  Will probably go back to playing Stellaris with patch next week and World of Tanks till we get an AI update.

Looks like I fixed 0.4, go it past 30mins :), was crashing 15-30mins into a game. Will play a half hr or so more just to make sure. then try to fix what i have taken out.

Cool - I was trying out Arceans yesterday (normally play a modded Snathi race but they are like the Borg - overpowered with Scavenging - Slave Pits and Molecular Fabricators and running 2nd Malevolent tree then 1st tree till you get Overlord ships for every planet - game over and tanks your economy ).   I noticed there is a problem with the second and third level of the Arcean Navigation techs - they are not setup to be upgrades from the 1st to 2nd or 2nd to 3rd (+2 and +3 and +4 ship movement as separate upgrades might be a bit overpowered - looks like this was missed by Stardock when they added the race with the Mercenary expansion) 

I also notice that when you upgrade Molecular Fabricator to Industrial Replicator that the upgrade doesn't seem to remove Molecular Fabricator from being able to be built elsewhere on the planet.  This is not an Improvements.XML typo but something generic in how the game handles this upgrade.

 

I will have to play GST 0.4 when I finish my regular game using your Improved AI mod plus Diplomacy Mods along with Enhanced Planet Diversity.  I noticed the regular Assault Figther Blueprint is still listed as TINY not SMALL not sure that is intentional.  Look forward to seeing your changes.

The Assault fighter is as it is in Vanilla, if I change the hull type it spouts out an error saying it can not find x shipclass. With GST I had to create new ship classes for the fighters to get around this. There is some internal code at play with the default fighters.

Cool - you need to look at the Award Colony - Award Constructor - Award Transport - Award Freighter Blueprints - they should fill in with life support (think some of that is included in the latest Stardock ShipBlueprints.XML file ) currently colony only includes sensors and others need extra life support as you got space in addition to their current filler module (I got an award colony ship late game with dozen sensors and no extra life support).  See my other comments on the Drone and Regular Carrier Blueprints (Carrier should be for the first Assault Carrier Module since you get it long before you have the Huge Hull Size and Drone Carrier blueprint for Interceptor and/or Guardian Carrier Modules). 

I reloaded the three 0.3H files from DropBox (0.3H Alpha from NexusMods is not the latest version and the 1.1 patch from DropBox I believe is missing some of the 1.2 patch files from NexusMods) and the 0.4 Alpha patch from Dropbox and I get a some error messages (Tellarite race related) but game seems to play on.  I originally forgot the Text overflow patch and it crashed totally past the intro screen  (hopefully Stardock fixes soon whatever they did to cause this text overflow situation since it limits future Mods or Campaigns as additions to the base game).  Hopefully we get some updates to the game in the next month or so to fix the text overflow issue and otherwise improve Mod Support and have some neat Frogboy AI Improvements.

The game does load if you skip past these error messages but I am missing the Race image for the United Earth Federation.  I play the game for awhile to see if I find anything else.

Looks like you did not remove all the mods before reinstalling. Hense the duplicate entries.

If you look at your 0.4 Alpha Patch ZIP File in .../Star Trek - Core/Game  you have three duplicate and misspelled Tellarite XML files - TelleriteTechDefs.XML  TelleriteTechDefsText.XML and TelleriteTechSpecializationsDef.XML.  They are older dated files so likely are older versions of the Tellarite Tech Tree files. 

Deleting those three files and even exiting steam then relaunching GC3 I get the same error message I don't see any duplicate Tellarite/Tellerite files other than those three but acts like the Tech Definitions are duplicated some how.  Maybe the unless they are imbedded inside one of the other XML files unless I truly have them located somewhere else that I didn't see quickly scanning through the MODS folder.


Thanks I missed the 1.83 beta notice on the forums (they hadn't mentioned it in the steam forums yet).  I see if they changed anything in the XML files especially ShipBlueprints, Improvements and StarbaseModules.

On a side note, 0.4 will no longer be a pure patch, I will release a standalone. I have re-worked all the designs, in preperation for the upcoming Tholian Shipset(it needed doing regardless, to many cross overs) and it will be easier for most ppl to just do a complete install with a standalone.

I deleted all the files in the MOD folder and updated to the 1.83 Beta Opt-in Patch then did a local file verify and restarted Steam.  Thanks for giving us a new combined version 0.4 GST file - GC3 loaded without any errors (now I did make the other changes to fix the Assault Fighter Starbase module - fixed Arcean Navigator tech tree and played with the ShipBlueprint.XML file).  Surprisingly my saved Klingon game file from this evening did load despite now using the Beta patch but I will run a new game in case any of the changes affects the MOD or gameplay just to unprejusticed feedback on the current state of the MOD.

 

Stardock has updated their ShipBlueprint.XML files - good changes to the Colony, Constructor, Freighter and Transport ship blueprints.


Assault fighters are now officially SMALL hull size in the new ShipBlueprint.XML file too.  They have slightly changed the three Carrier blueprints as well.

Horemvore, I am curious if there is any changes required for your mod to work with the opt in 183? I updated my files and was going to see if anything was needed at  your end before I add GST back. 

 

I would like to keep the anomalies defended, would you be kind enough to <also> send me a message on how to keep that in your mod?

In AnomolyDefs.XML in the ...\My Games\GC3\Mods\Star Trek - Map Changers\Game\ folder remove the comment code  <!--   before each </Encounter> section like this

Glad you reminded me of this - Beginner is definitely too easy now - fixing the anomalies to be defended will make it a challenge.  Iin my first pass last night one of the initial Defenders was out scouting and ran into two Marque Ships from a Pirate Base - did not go well - got to watch out for Pirate bases now although it looks like the code is not creating ships initially or often at the Pirate Bases.

Thanks for the continued updates to this great Mod.

Quick installation question -- I noticed that the folder ''For your My Games - GalCiv3 Directory'' contains a WinRAR file named ''GST 0.4 Patch - For your My Games - GalCiv3 Directory''.  The WinRAR file is dated 10/13/2016.  However, in you post above, you mention that you updated the Mod yesterday 10/18/2016.  I just wanted to confirm whether or not I should I still unzip that WinRAR file and replace everything when prompted.
