Version 1.6 Beta - Ship Design Screen Does Not Show Ship Being Designed

Playiing the v1.6 Beta, when I attempt to design a ship, no ship design shows up. I can select a ship body, and the screen area is black. However, the equipment bar shows equipment  modules added and the design can be completed, just no visual. Braile ship design.

Can you get us a screenshot? I am not able to reproduce this locally.

I have seen this a few times.  In every case I had (I think) done something to move the location where the ship would appear to somewhere off screen.  I was able to find it by zooming out until I could see it, then moving it to the center of the screen and zooming in.

Maybe that is what is happening here.

Thanks for the comments.

Mormegil: I have taken a screen shot, but this email form wants to paste the url of my desktop image rather than the actual image. The image is 630kb. I need the ability to attach the image rather than its url. What am I missing?

Although I've been happily playing Gal Civ since Gal Civ I, I've only lurked and learned from the forum until recently. At this point I'm reluctant to call anything a bug unless I'm reasonably sure that such is the case. This is because for the last several years I've done my Gal Civ II and now III games on a Mac Pro which is now running Windows 10 on the current version of the Parallels VM.

I started playing with version 1.4 (didn't play sooner because of health problems and subsequent interstate move). Upgraded to version 1.5 and lost the icons for the planets on the right main screen list area. Other than that no known problems. Version 1.6 caused this problem. Another apparent problem is the "loss" of the planets in the diplomacy screen. Although the other small menu on the left and the major menu on the right remain, the planet display is also gone and "black". Since both of these screens worked in v1.5 I don't attribute their disappearance to a hardware or video card problem. The video card in this system is an ATI Radeon HD5770 which has 1 GB of video ram (Parallels won't let me dedicate >512MB however).

AdmWillyWilbur: Thanks for your help. My system is a mid 2010 MacPro with 2 2.4GHZ Xeon CPU's. Parallels has been given 6 of the 8 cores. The system has 48GB memory of which Parallels has 24.5GB. Video card is an ATI Radeon HD5770 with 1GB VRAM. (Parallels only allows 512 of this to be allocated to its VM). The problem(s) described have only occurred with version 1.6 (with the exception of the vanishing planet icons on the main screen right side planet "list"). Windows version is 10. Parallels VM is v11. MacOS is 10.11.1

Can you submit a ticket ( https://esupport.stardock.com/index.php?/Tickets/Submit ) so we can help you out?  In the meantime, can you see if setting the graphics settings to low and turning of the anti-aliasing  fixes your issue?  Thank you.
