Make tech tree setting persistent

It's a little thing, and in general I love Stardock and their games, but often the little things drive me insane with their games, like forever I complained about ESC key behavior in their games and they finally got that right (mostly, still isn't 100% consistent, some windows still don't close via ESC) in GC3.

Anyways.  I personally don't like the default/new "Research Technologies" view in GC3 and never use it.  I always switch to the tech tree view as I will forever prefer a tech tree or tech web view of tech.  I just prefer the big picture and maybe it's because I'm a gaming dinosaur and I'm used to tech trees.

You can switch the view to the more classic tech tree, but you have to do that every time you launch the game, because this setting doesn't persist.  I feel like I'm being "encouraged" to use the new/default view - it's a conspiracy.

So what I'd like is either for this setting to persist or to give us a game/interface option to make the "tree" view be the default (and/or to pretend the other/new/default abomination never existed).

Yes, it's a little thing, it's not the end of the world to have to change the view every time you play, but sometimes it's the little things, the details, that make all the difference between good and great.
