Elerium Request

I'd just like to request that on maps with rare resources, there be at least 1 instance of elerium somewhere in the galaxy.

 

My preferred settings are insane with rare resources, and with those settings I've yet to see elerium, even 1 instance, on any map.  Which of course limits my Hyperion Shrinker capacity by 10%.

 

edit: which makes me cry in the late hours of the night.

 Also, maybe randomize per game which resources are required for the various weapon special enhancements.  Or even per game and per race (so its individualized to each race, including the player, which resource is required for each enhancer, changing from game to game).

In the current game about 45% of the map.  But in my other 2, yes, full map was checked.  That's 2 insane galaxies with no elerium, and 45% of a third. 

 

And I'd really like to see the Shrinker hit level 18 at some point.

I have seen the also, elirium is usually "0" with the setting  rare resources.  Bump nebulae up

It perhaps would be nice if some resources were physically rare on the map, but easily produced the resource, IE, there are only 3 Elerium resources on the map, but each actually generates 2-3 Elerium (with a basic mining base, and each upgrade perhaps generating an additional 2-3).

 

Making them rare and precious to grab, but also worthwhile to do so. Right now, its so rare, and you get one Elerium which isn't enough to do anything cool.

 

Just a little thought.

Just fiddle with the setting til you get what you want. I mean, whats the point of setting resource to rare then complaining that YOU CAN HARDLY FIND IT!

The problem is that the resource settings and terrain settings are tied, and that this relationship isn't at all clear to the casual user (sure if you go into the files you can figure that out).

People are putting the Resources level to rare, because of the sheer ungodly amounts of durantium any other setting gives you, but then annoyed that they can't find any elerium, and only occasional antimatter. When possibly, they wanted nearly equal levels of all three to be present.
