Hi, question:

I'm looking at my planet's Manufacturing tooltip. It says:

 

Manufacturing 13.6

Precursor Nanites +5%

Manufacturing Relic +10%

Productive (+1) +10%

Mega Factory (3) +129%

Base Manufacturing +5.3

 

When I do the math (applying all the modifiers to 5.3) then I get 15.42, not 13.6! Am doing it wrong?

5.3 * (1+0.05+0.1+0.1+1.29)=5.3 * (2.54)=13,462

 

the difference probably comes through rounding

You are. Multipliers are addative, not multiplicative. You should get 13.4 with these numbers.

you're not adding it up correctly.  They don't appear to stack (all of the bonuses are from base and bonuses don't apply to bonuses).

so you have

.05 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 1.29 = 1.54

So the calculation would be 1.54*5.3 + 5.3 = 13.462

 

Not sure where you got 15+ but I can only imagine that you're making the bonuses exponential, which they are not... (also, mega factories are +43% I can't remember?)

The Mega Factories bonus was due to adjacency. They were base +33%.
