[1.41 Bug?] Drengin Arena shows as black hexagon on planet when built

I haven't played as the Drengin since the beta, I'm giving it a try now with a game started on 1.41.  The Arena improvement, when upgraded from the Fighting Pit, shows as a black hexagon on the planet.  Is this a known issue?  Thanks.

Try to verify cache integrity. I looked in the files and saw nothing wrong there.

I also saw this in my last game. Not sure what the structure was (it was turn 647 and late at night...) but I just captured this planet and saw a blackened icon for a building tile. Can't submit the save game as it was overwritten...

Could you look at Steam\steamapps\common\Galactic Civilizations III\data\Game\ImprovementDefs.xml at the Arena and paste what it says. Also look in Steam\steamapps\common\Galactic Civilizations III\Gfx\Improvements at the files with Arena in the name.

Arena.png, Arena_Build.png, and Arena_Icon.png in the Gfx folder looks like I think they should in Windows Explorer, and in photo viewer preview.

This has happened for me going back to version 1.2.

Me too. Oddly, it occurs for me in modded play but not on normal... but there'seems no code differences in  the relevant files (I even c&ped the building over).

 

To the OP - you using any mod's or game alterations, including using the planet wheel reactivation? It may be something to do with the way the game uses the docs directory

Yes, I have mods turned on but am only using one - the Star Map Reduced Nebula mod, which only changes StarboxDefs.xml.

And yes, I re-enabled the planet wheel.
