What about litestep skins?
Put another way, what are you talking about?...

I have LiteStep and was wondering decides deskmod.com where I can get skins. I was also inquiring why this site has none, no offense.
This site DOES have LiteSTEP 'skins'....actually, 'themes' is the word.....currently 169 of them...
All the skinning sites will have a number of LiteSTEP themes...as well as the dedicated LS sites.....head over to shellfront and follow the links...

As for the Stardock proggies....there's 'Component Manager', now morphing to 'Stardock Central' which does exactly what you claim it lacks...

Note....not all the proggies at left are Stardock proggies...

And there's WinStyles https://www.stardock.com/products/winstyles/, which allows you to apply themes to all of Stardocks programs and many others as well in one fell swoop.

I already bought all of these I just think it is the fact no one has shown me how to use them.
Now there's a thought....you worry about the complexity of Stardock's proggies and needing a hand held to run them and yet you are using LiteSTEP.
/me expects any day now that kona0197 will mysteriously disappear from the board because LiteSTEP tells him to re-install Windows...

I quit using Litestep yesterday. And for your information, My hard drive is partioned into 2 different drives with windows on one and everything else on the other. LiteStep had no problem running and since windows is on another drive, it never crashed. I did not go to college for 2 years to be a computer technican for nothing. I do not appreciate the putdowns. Some of us take that person you know... > > > >

Putting LiteSTEP on an alternate partition will do nothing.
Litestep replaces explorer.exe as your shell....it still attaches as the 'front' to the same kernel....

Hmm, calm down...

So? I installed it, ran it, used it, and uninstalled it with no ill affects. You just have to know how to hack windows files and/or how to make sure you know damn well what windows XP is doing.

hey c242.. I am OK not angry.
OK...I'll bow down to your experience of 2 years at college.
Clearly you're way ahead of me and my understanding of this LiteSTEP thingie...

Silly me...

Nice putdown. who cares? I just wanted to know about skins for litestep. Now you have gone and turned it upside down. Oh well i don't know you but clearly from all the other postings I do not want to make you mad. YOU know more about litestep and computers than i do. On the flipside, I will give stardock products a try again sometime next year. For now, I wish to be left alone and I do not wish to make any enemies.

Jafo, I must say, Objectbar is extremely confusing to understand. Learning Litestep seems a piece of cake next to it. Quite straightforward. Where Objectbar is anything but.
Honest.
And whats more, I asked a few days ago if someone would help me out finding and or creating a skin for objectbar that has to do with bicycles and not only did no one help me, it is to confusing (without a war and peace book of instructions) to create and run with objectbar. LiteStep shows me how to create sucjh a skin. That's why I used it. Right now I am using nothing.

kona0169....sometimes I like to 'push' a little....but checking your member number I'm guessing you're relatively new to the world of skinning...and the reference to 'installing' LiteSTEP was a give-away....[I still have never 'installed' it...LS installers didn't exist at the time when I started STEPping]...

You didn't get me 'mad', either...

paxx...I still haven't used ObjectBar...[naughty me]...still spoiled by 'STEP...
Now how did that happen?....'kona0197'.... Spell checker
[must be getting late]....
I'm not really new to skining but I am alot better at hacking than anything else. I just have never joined a site dedicated to skinng thats all.
it is 5:21 AM here I have been up all night as usual.
Oh,.. you silly man you

/me finally did get some real sleep YEAH!!!
now to keep things in order and or put them back...

ripping is seemingly evolving into a cottage industry...
even if money might not be taken in return for said ripped work...
*sigh* almost as nad if not worse than hackers, and script kiddies...

hey see the other thread "I'm a GUI addict" for a explanation of what I mean by hacking. Just cheats for MY games NOT any websites.
