There isn't any approval process for avatars. It may take a few minutes to propagate on the servers, but beyond that make sure you have cleared your cache on your end.

My new avatar picture isn't Yor, But is a different alien it didn't take. At first it did then it reverted.

Got bored, and changed my avatar into a modified version of one of the best humanoid picts in the workshop. I avenged michaelwhittaker's death remember the Yor killed him. Now we can't invade earth because he killed one of our double agents, so now we will have to pay the family the space cash we owe him. Hopefully that will be enough consolation for his death, and the fact they will know his death has been avenged after they get over their fear of aliens not the illegal kind. Though I think the government is trying to hunt us down to.
