Paul, talk to us about 1.4.......(please?)

Greetings Stardock!

 

I know we get our tasty Developer Stream today. I am all set to ignore my coworkers for some developer insight! 

 

Paul can you talk to us about some of the improvements you noticed in the 1.4 patch and how your game has changed (hopefully for the better) and if the game is more challenging for you!

The stream did a great job showing off 1.4 and all the improvements.  Too bad we have to wait a month for it.

well..a month for release...just two weeks maybe only one for Opt in...with such a DRASTIC changes like this its only smart for Stardock to get it to its Alpha testers to uh, find the problems before official release.....

I am encouraged by what the Dev stream showed with regard to the planetary production changes. This coming from a guy who used the per-planet wheel to min-max. As for techs to shift production to by 100%, I agree we don't need it. Doing that would make people think they need to do it, and it would bring back some micro, and make projects useless again. 25% shift is good.

I remember in GC2 in the "Colonies" tab you could change multiple planets' focus at once. I recommend you do this again.

The Military Subsidies implementation is AWESOME! Even if it is eventually nerfed, the micromanagement saved for my style of gameplay is substantial, and I thank you.

Increased range on military starbases...YES!!!!!! Now it will make sense to actually build them!

In the stream SD mentioned that since the AI was doing so well they would remove some of the bonus things the AI gets.  Can you PLEASE remove the bonus where higher level AI's have no FOW?  This is the one thing that makes the game not fun.  Sensors are useless to the AI as they see all anyway.

Didnt I just ask for Pre release notes? 

 

Stardock can we get 'Unreleased Patch Notes' and a disclaimer that they will likely change so dont bother arguing?..hehe
