100% Manufacturing with No Planetary Production Wheel?

Just build factories and only factories on all planets, with 100% manufacturing on the global wheel.

Use Economic Stimulus and Research Stimulus for money and research.  Consequently, this allows you to skip entire tech lines.  It also gets around the "Global Production Wheel" nerf.

Thoughts?

This is how I play Endless Space with my custom Sower race. It works very well there due to their traits. I have not tried it in GalCiv3 yet, however it is food for thought. The advantage of this style of play is that you can shift your focus very rapidly depending on what you need. The disadvantage is that the direct manufacturing -> Food/Science/Income carries innate penalties.

Pretty sure we will be getting revisions to the planetary projects in along with the elimination of the planetary wheel. It works now, but probably won't be a good idea once the planetary wheel is actually gone.

Its not that easy anymore,

right now projects just add a % Bonus, and 1000% of 0 are still 0,

Anyway without the wheel its pretty obvious that we would change from a planetary specialization to a global/civ-wide spezialisation

GalCiv 2 was the same, the best strategies were full-lab and full-factory

We are working to clean up some of the more exploitable issues that have come from having a planetary production wheal. 1 aspect of this is that Planetary projects, such as Economic stimulus, are now capped at 100% in 1.3. This can still be allot if you planet has some people and wealth improvements, but it will no longer reward players for only building factories.
