Mods and the new ui coming.

So this is really for the following modders if they can kinda drop a line here.

 

Vid, will your better combat AI be updated for the new UI update ready to drop?

 

Tetrasodium you have a ILU which is a like Nasselus' Abundant mod, will the ui changes affect yours?

 

Nasselus, I thought you were working on something that affected ai planetary development but I may be mistaken and thinking of your abundant mod.....

 

I am finishing up an insane map game and was gong to hold off starting a new one till the UI update is released.

I can answer for myself & my ILO mod explicitly & likely for the rest as well.  We won't know what's going to be in 1.3 & how the changes will affect our stuff until it becomes available.  As a result, there is no way for me/us to say if our mods will need updates to work with 1.3 or not  and what extent it might require updating if it does.

Yea i am jumping the gun. Thanks for the reply. Ill hold off till the release of 1.3.

As ever, I'll be working to reconcile my mod for 1.3 when it arrives as quickly as possible and will have it working probably within about 24 hours. I'll then have a 'proper' release taking advantage of the new features by the end of that week. But there's at least 2 weeks until then, which is surely enough to finish up another game.

 

I'm not sure if Vid is still playing :( He certainly seems to have been very quiet lately if he is.

I'll be in the same boat as naselus as well.  Unless 1.3 does something crazy that invalidates everything, I can quickly throw together something functional if the patch breaks it.  Keep in mind though that your saved games will likely continue working fine since the campaign is basically a bunch of save games & I can't immagine SD changing things so wildly that they would need to rebuild those
