Game Breaking Bug

I got into a situation where the "next turn" button got stuck on "idle ship" greyed out. No amount of clicking on ships resolved that. I saved the game at that point and reloaded. I don't know if it's relevant, but the blue chick surrendered immediately on reload. Then when I finished the turn the button was stuck on "wait".

 

I got a similar lockup during the tutorial, and this was only my second time playing the game, so it's not like this is an obscure issue. What's the deal with this?

Hey there. I've gotten this a few times, but only after 300+ turns of play. 

What I've been able to do:

 

1) Set auto save to every 1 turn.

2) When idle ship happens, close and restart GC3, then reload to the previous turn.

3) Play can then continue and I likely won't hit the bug for another 50ish turns or more.

That's cool for a workaround, but it would be nice to get some word from the devs about this. I have the savegame with the bad state. Is there a way I can upload that to help with the fix?

There's a workaround in this other thread: https://forums.galciv3.com/469652 more specifically, save the game AFTER it gets stuck and then quit and reload, and it gets you past whatever was sticking. I was saving it at the last step before hitting the turn button and couldn't get past it, but had not yet tried to save after hitting the Turn button.
