Some minor issues is anyone else having?

I submitted a ticket on this but was wondering if anyone else had this issue?

  • No Elerium. I have played 3 games on Insane and made sure that I have 'common' nebulae and 'occasional' resources. I put asteroids on 'rare' as I dislike the map cluttered with Durantium. NO Elerium anywhere. None, nada, zilch.
  • I have opted in for 1.12 but my steam opt in says only 1.11. All my current games Pirates are still not expanding so I figure I am not updating.

I will also Plug Vids war time mod. It has made war with other Ai pretty fun and surprising!

Happy Monday!

I'm playing my first insane map and haven't noticed any Elerium yet.  I'm hoping I haven't explored enough, but your post has me concerned.  I'll keep looking for it.

My available opt-in says 1.11 too. I didn't opt-in since it looks like it's acting squirrely.  They changed the thread to show that it's unreleased for now.

Yeah, Elerium is ridiculously rare on anything less than abundant. This seems mostly to be because only 1 in 4 'nebulas' are actual nebulas which elerium can spawn in; the rest are 'storms' which it can't. Storm spawning needs to be heavily reduced to correct this imo.

I finally found some Elerium on my insane map.  Pretty rare though. I recall having a lot more on smaller maps with the same settings.

BTW - The Metaverse shows my games that finished as long ago as Jul 2 to be 1.1_2x, This was before the "unreleased" 1.12 posted on Jul 16.  Maybe the new patch should be reclassified as 1.13.  Could this be why it's all lopsijoggled?

Thanks for feedback. I was not aware about the naming issue on patches. I am still on my game and still no Elerium. I am not proficient at looking at the xml, how often is it supposed to spawn and  how can it be fixed?

End of Larsenex's quote

in mapsizedefs.xml, find  <MinableNebulaRate>. The lower this value is, the more elerium will be generated. It is under every sub-heading.
