Abandoned Shipyards v 1.11

Since the latest patch the game no longer cares about abandoned ship yards,  When the player looses a planet and the shipyard remains the game allows you to keep playing without doing anything with it.  Is this by design now allowing you to leave that shipyard there until you reclaim the planet or is this an issue?

I've not noticed any change with this.  Planets with shipyards getting captured have always left those shipyards abandoned, so far as I can recall.

Honestly, I'd love it if the game didn't bother me about orphaned shipyards, at until the starbase constructor spam issue is resolved.

Planet Miriam III was taken by influence 15 + turns ago, and my shipyard still exists.  The game never prompted me to destroy shipyard or reassign or anything just let it remain to this point.

Similarly, when I've taken planets by invasion since patch 1.11 they now continue but under the original owner's 'flag' whereas previously they self-destructed, presumably unless there was one or more other planets sponsoring that shipyard - would seem logical and a better outcome if there was a game mechanic where there was a significant chance of the invader 'capturing' the shipyard intact - similar to planetary based improvements.
