Bugs
Hi! I don't know if there is a bug base where I could add/read the issues in GalCiv III ?
I played a lot of multiplayer games with a friend and here are some of the things we noticed:
Bugs (or what I think are bugs) :
- Ordering to destroy a planet would often cause a crash.
- When one player (not the host) leave a multiplayer game during his/her turn, the turn sometime get stuck to that player.
- In some game, when one player left during his/her turn, the other player had to exit the game instead of returning to main menu.
- We never finished a game since it randomly crash every single time (randomly meaning we didn't notice what may cause it that time).
- The shipyard anchoring sound is so loud that it almost killed me.
- Restoring a multiplayer game is sometime broken: all planets priorities reset to default and my custom race picture didn't load (it was blank).
- Once the chat is open, there is no way that we found to close/hide it
- The mini-map, when playing in the same team, is centered in the middle of the team influence zone... if both are at one corner of the galaxy, the mini-map always focus at the middle of nothing, seeing nothing until our influence grow and the middle is something
- After loading a game, all Rally Points didn't render. they where available just not rendered.
- The host saw the battles with the pirates, but not me, it didn't have any warnings or results.
Nice to have:
please,
- Add an option like : do not auto-update improvements for all my civ. I don't like it when it does that!
- Add an in-game contextual help or an in-game wiki (not just a link to the wiki). This game has so much information and I find it so useful in civ...
- The mini-map is driving me crazy... please, allow me to disable the auto-center... I need to de-zoom it every turn!
- In the timeline, if two players choose the same colors, there is no way to know which is which.
- Let me filter my list of ships... add a tab [fleets] and show the list of fleets there. It would be useful in late game.
- Add a way to highlight where a ship can go in 0 turns. I can use the ctrl key to know right, except if the destination is an object
