E3 Bores Me

Probably because I prefer non-mainstream games, but the E3 fervor doesn't really get me excited. Fallout 4 is exciting and I *am* excited to see more of the Master of Orion reboot, but mostly I just want to know more about SK and GC3!

Anyone else feel similarly?

Can Stardock give us something cool to chew on?

what's e3.

IIRC it stands for Electronic Entertainment Expo, basically a show where new games, equipment, etc. are revealed.

There are so many cool-looking games showcased that I can't understand how you're not excited.

I'm completely over the Dark Souls formula. I admit that the new Halo and Gigantic look cool!

Honestly, I'm just sorta over the same dozen games being remade over and over again. I need something new and exciting. I'm becoming rather jaded...

The issue with E3 is the richest corps drown out many interesting middle-sized projects.

Scratch my complaints: Star Wars: Battlefront.

That is all.

EDIT: OMFGBBQ!!!!11!! The Sony presser was RIDICULOUS! CANNOT WAIT.

That's fine, there are plenty of other shows for small companies to shine.

I get the same "meh"  attitude tward e3. Unless Blizzard announces something, then I froth at the mouth, then I remember it's Bliz so if the game comes out within 3 years it will be early for them, then I remember it's Bliz and when it comes out in 3+ years it'l friggin rule!

The end.

This E3 has been super exciting for me and fellow co-workers. Our own games aside, the Hololens, Rift, No Man's Sky, Doom 4, Fallout 4...The list goes on and the hype is real.  :cylon:

So you are thinking of incorporating Hololens, Rift and Morpheous into SK.

I can see this: Looking out from your tower/castle/forest-tower/temple (or whatever your residence is as a sovereign), talking to your heroes - giving them quest, switching to 1/3 person view of the hero, battling pesky little darklings, big storm dragons with your real-life agile body (I guess there is a need for a body interface to the VR-glasses), escorting the noblewoman and (getting a kiss/bed...), go to an inn and get drunk and slash/recruit some brutes as soldiers. After sleeping out your hangover (in game) you continue and meet a giant ass dumb swamp thingy. You try to talk to and understand this swampy-smelly giant thingy, but in your hangover you unfortunately insult them and get on their bad side.

Switching back to your wizard tower (sovereigns residence) you meet a diplomat from the SK, but you kick him out - alternatively you have a very deep hole and you just happens to push him towards the very deep hole. (welll, it is not your fault he cannot fly....).

Switching back to our hero after nearly befriending he goes back to the sovereign to report and gets a new quest. Slay the SK and I (sovereign) tell him that he will receive help as needed in form of fireballs, if he just shout loud enough.

1 session with a VR full body suit.

No Man's Sky, if it does what it says it does, could be my favorite game ever. Just sayin'.
