"Missing Info" in approval tooltip 1.03.3

Still happening in 1.41, and 1.7

I got back from 3 weeks away from GC3 and just had to start a new game on 1.03.3.  I noticed that the tooltip for planetary approval showed a "Missing Info":

I suspect this is because of the Malevolent ideology trait "Eager", which I'd gotten a dozen or so turns before, and I had just invaded my first planet a turn before noticing this problem.

Having invaded 2 more planets the tooltip now says "Missing Info (3)  +3", so I'm sure that it's the Eager ideology trait.

Yeah, I noticed this when playing as the Drengin (which have that trait as a permanent racial trait).

Yep I noticed that also in my game, just always forget to say something about it on the boards.  It is indeed from the malevolent ideology trait that gives you a permanent boost to morale for every planet you invade.

This trait also makes it so that malevolent civs never really have to worry about the Large Empire Penalty to morale.  You get +1 to morale for every planet you conquer, and the LEP is only -.2 for every planet you own.  The longer you go conquering, the less need you have for wasting space on morale boosters for your planets.  Makes it pretty easy to keep morale on your planets capped at 100%; which seems kinda ironic that it is easier to keep the populace happy as "evil" than it is as "good".  Neener neener to all the "goody goody" civs :P

This issue still exists in patch 1.11. And I think that +1 Morale for every conquered planet is too much. Maybe +0.1 or +0.2 would be more balanced, so that the Eager trait just counteracts Large Empire penalty.

Thanks for the feedback.

This issue is still present in 1.31.

Are you are continuing an old save game from 1.0?  I believe there was fix for this, but you'll only see the fix in a new game.

Yesterday, I finished a game as the Yor, which I had started after the latest patch, with "lot's of missing info" :)

No, this is a brand new game started on 1.31.

Actually, to be precise, it was the Snathi scenario.

Here it is, from the Snathi homeworld Kiln in the scenario:

I have a saved game in case you need a ticket opened.

Ticket #ATM-747-54625 has been opened.

Ok thanks we're looking at it

Is there any progress on this?

In the Revenge of the Snathi scenario I have two planets (one liberated from Drengin, other from Terran) with Missing Info and -50% income. Version 1.32.

This is still happening in 1.41.  Same situation, brand new game on 1.41, got the malevolent ideology perk "Eager" and after successful invasion of an enemy planet "Missing Info" shows up as +1 on the approval tooltip.

I've noticed there's also a few "missing info" tooltips in the space ship stats in the designer, regarding weapon or other bonuses.

This is still happening in 1.7, as reported in the original post and in the ticket I opened.  Brand new game on 1.7  Snathi scenario, again, although I suspect it's happening for all malevolent civs that take the Eager trait.

Yes, this happens for any civ that takes the Eager trait. One would expect that a few lines of code with fix this, but since the Eager trait does work properly I am happy.

While I agree that it is more important that the trait work than that the tooltip is correct, it is now 10 and a half months since the problem was reported.  One might think that a "few lines of code" could have been written in that time.

We agree about that!
