Has anyone got any plans to make some famous custom races ie Star Trek universe, Battlestar Galactica etc.
Sure. There's a few of us working on custom races based on those properties. Here's my Federation race: http://www.moddb.com/mods/starfleet-mod
But I think a lot of people are more focused on their own original visions for races, rather can copying existing ones.
After 1.1 is released (modding), you'll probably see lots of them - and they will only get better.
Of course, but keep in mind it take a lot of time in order to make a well polished faction, especially for those of us working by ourselves rather than with a team. Real life obligations can also increase the time it takes to make a well polished faction. Just be patient, they are on the way
