[Request] Babylon 5?

So, I just got GalCiv3 because I've had a mass craving for everything SciFi lately, and it's been great so far... one thing I was curious about; I didn't play a lot of GalCiv2 in the past, and when I did, it was on a friend's computer. He had a Babylon 5 mod, from the TV show, which had a ton of custom races and some really great ship models. I was wondering if the person who made that mod was still active and might possibly make that into a GalCiv3 mod, or if someone else might obtain permission to translate it over?

I have no idea on translation as I'm not a coding wiz, but a bunch of us want or are working on Babylon 5 races :) . There's some custom pics floating around right now but not much else....yet. I plan on getting to a few of these my-self I just don't know when.

I've been discussing it with a few people and am considering starting a bab 5 project. I'm really hoping for some additional modding freedoms to complete a current project first.

I'm not sure but i think the guy that made that mod is actual working on a B5 mod for Sins of a solar empire.

If you are interested, I have been working on a few ships from Babylon 5. So far I have a Starfury, an Omega class destroyer and a Poseidon class carrier so far for the Earth Alliance. I am working on more and am willing to share them if you have a drop-box; If you don't, then you will have to wait for the steam workshop integration.

Thanks for the replies, everyone.

I do have a DropBox, but I sadly cannot remember the information, haha (real shame because I had a bunch of space on there). I may try and get into it later, but for now I can wait for the Steam Workshop. Seems like I'm waiting for a bunch of mods that way anyways.

I'm all for a B5 mod! I have been waiting for a good one for a very long time. Sadly I'm simply not artistic enough or a graphics guy!

 

I always hope Brad and company would talk to JMS and get a license to make an official B5 game - lil dreams....

If you can't wait till someone finishes his B5 Mod, try gauntlets mod on nexus. He has some Narn and Minbari style ships. Also there are some Earth Alliance ships on steam workshop.

I am unable to contribute to such a mod (lack of skills) but, I will happily take advantage of it if it comes out.

Last year I was working on a B5 mod but quit shortly after the official game release. Then life happened and I haven't touched it since. Anyway, here's a link to what I made -- it was created mostly when GalCiv3 was still in beta so I'm not sure if it even still works, but if anyone wants to tinker around with it feel free, you have my permission.
