Multiplayer Stuck After Taking Last Planet from a Race

I am opted in to the 1.02 and playing a multiplayer game with 2 friends. I attacked the Dregnin early and took their last planet, but then after ending the turn the game still tried to have the Dregnin take their turn and it became stuck. It remains stuck after re-loading the game (I end my turn, the Dregnin comes up, and nothing happens).

 

Is this a common problem that happens in other games? Its our first time seeing a race get eliminated, so wasn't sure if this is well known or just unique to this game/multiplayer.

This just happened again in my most recent game, even with a minor civ. Am I the only one having the game completely lock up when a race is removed from the game in multiplayer? Seems like a pretty big bug.

No you aren't the only one.

 

My friends and I are getting that too. With any race being wiped out.

 

Create a support account and send them the game save + explain the problem. I currently have three tickets open for turns freezing under totally different scenarios.

Scenarios:

1: Defeated YOR - Turn frozen. Happens every time.

2: Freezes turn shortly after planet invasion and flying in to nebula causes fleet to disappear and become unclickable.

3:Invaded a planet, hit next turn, a constructor on path goes in to a starbase and it freezes my turn on "Upgrade starbase" (unclickable)
Avoided the lock out by not invading planet, upgrading starbase, then invading planet. 

 

EDIT: Support just got back to me and suggested I "opt-in" to receive the patch. I'm going to do this tonight. Hopefully with positive results!

This is also the same problem my friend and I are having.  2 players, 6 AI, both opted in for 1.02 patch and have it installed.  Invade Drengin home world (last planet) and game moves to next turn (my friend's) and then freezes on Drengin turn (which they are wiped out and have no ships).  Can't use console in multiplayer games, so the console fix I read about a while ago can't be used.  

Please help! :(

Please be sure to send in Support tickets with save and dump files. For sending save, dump, debug.err files. After following the link, run the support tool, include your steam name, describe the issue you are having and then send us the zip file to greatly speed up the process!
