Can we at some point get an option to reject gifts? While normally I wouldn't say no to a gift, when the AI give you one of the techs where you have to pick one of three and I happen to want a different one, I would prefer the option to say no.
I don't know if it limits you from researching your option in the future for one you haven't researched yet, but I have found it will let me get techs through trading or gifts from rival AIs where I already made the choice. So far as I can tell, that means I get to enjoy the benefits of both enhancements.
Yes I know you can trade for another one of the three at a later date. But that would require meeting a race that has researched the one you wanted. Which isn't always possible, especially on smaller map sizes.
