Galactic Showcase - Bonus is empire wide?

Hi there GalCiv folks,

Loving the game so far, really great job. I was a little trepidatious as some reviews mentioned the game feeling "incomplete" after playing GalCiv 2, but it really doesn't.

Actually very well polished.

Anyway, I am playing a game as Iridium and have built the "Galactic Showcase" one-per-galaxy improvement on one of my worlds. This gives a +25% boost to Gross Income and Influence according to the tool tip which also says "Incease A worlds gross income". I then boosted it with adjacency bonuses to actually be +50% Gross Income and Influence.

What I actually observe according to hovering over the Economy and Influence calculations on my world screens however, is the following:

World with the showcase:

+50% Gross Income

+50% Influence

Worlds WITHOUT the showcase:

+50% Gross Income

+25% Influence

These are all attributed to the galactic showcase and seems to span my entire empire. I was wondering if this is the intended behaviour in that:

A - It applies the bonus empire wide not just on the world where it was build?

B - The 25% adjacency bonus also gets added to all worlds?

C - The 25% adjacency bonus DOES apply for the gross income, but not the influence, on other planets?

Thanks.

all the galactic achievements give bonuses to all planets. But i think they are pretty broken right now or maybe got buggy tooltips.

Check some of the screenshots towards the end of this https://forums.galciv3.com/466217Many of them seem weird.

I cannot answer for whether or not it's intended behavior, but in ImprovementDefs.XML the Galactic Showcase's bonuses are defined to be a global +25% gross income modifier, a global +25% influence modifier, a global +5% per level gross income modifier, and a local +5% influence per level modifier, so the behavior you see in the game is correct as far as the XML is concerned.

Since I would tend to expect it to be more likely for the developers to forget a tag than to add it incorrectly, I would expect that at least the base bonuses to gross income and influence are intended to be empire-wide, though for the per-level bonuses I'm a bit less sure, as one of the 'easy' ways of making the per-level bonuses would be to copy the base bonuses and then add the tags to make it per-level and change the values, which could relatively easily result in forgetting to remove a global tag that wasn't supposed to be there.

Can you check the XML for singularity power plant? that was the only one i found that isn't blatantly overpowerd atm. gives 200% manufacture to planet its build on, and 5% to other plantes.

i'm really not buying that +100% research to all worlds or +50% income to all worlds is intended.
