intel HD Graphics 4000 or 5000 problems

Hi I have had nothing but problems running 1.01 on 2 different laptops

the first is a surface pro 3 with a intel HD 5000, the game just freezes, i get graphics that do not appear, different parts of the screen starts flashing.

on the second laptop (has 32 video cards built in) using the intel HD 4000 graphics card, the screen just stops, the game is still running, but you can not click on anything on the screen, no buttons no nothing works. you have to use ctl/alt/del to exit the game. the same laptop with the game using the AMD radeon HD 7600M graphics card & the game runs without a problem.

 I have not had any problem running any other game on either laptops (battlefield 4 to civ 5)

there is a problem with the intel HD video cards

Seconded - I have a Macbook Pro running Windows on Bootcamp with an Intel 4000 graphics card, and the screen stops - exactly as Greg B. describes it.

 

Please fix... game is unplayable.

Experiencing the same problem with hd4000. Game plays smooth as hell except for the random lock ups.

Please disable the following options in your game options:

  Particles

  Trails

  Anti-Aliasing

  Gel UI

  Bloom

  Lean Maps

 

We have code that checks to see how much memory your video card has before enabling these options. But unfortunately the Intel cards pretend to have video memory (they don't have any) and use system memory instead. We are working with Intel to come up with a programatic way to identify these cards so we can disbale these options, but in the mean time please disable these options if you have a card without any video memory.
