Ship designer bug

Hi,

Whenever I try to design a ship, when I click the save button the appearance of the ship is overwritten with either the first ship I designed, or the default fighter, no matter what hull size I'd picked - it just scales the ships up to match.

I heard it was just a corrupt file problem, and I should validate my game files through steam. I've done that several times, even completely reinstalled at one point. The bug still persists, though.

Update. Just completely uninstalled Galciv 3, removed every file, including the ones in My Documents, went through the registry and deleted every GC3 file, and did a full, fresh install, which I then validated the files on.

It still overwrites any ship I design with the first one I design. Bugger.

Any help with this would be appreciated.

I had the same problem when I was naming my designs with dots in it. Like "I. Pebble" or something... It looks like there is a bug with special characters in names of the designs. So I would suggest to avoid using it if you are.

Hmm, interesting. The default names do come with "T.A.S."

I'll have to check that out, thanks.

Just a long shot. You aren't saving the ship as a template are you?

Removing the periods solved the problem, thanks! That is an odd bug.

@Franco, yeah, definitely wasn't that. Though the first time I played I had, and was confused where it disappeared to. Thanks anyway!
