Constant crashing.

I've had constant crashing for a while now. I've done most of the options on the support site including reinstalling/changing the folder names. My video driver is updated, I've verified integrity on Steam. It actually worked like a charm with no crashes the day after it finished reinstalling. Played most of the day without a crash until late into the night. I fire it up the next day and i can't go three turns without crashing. Sometimes I'll load in my game, hit the turn and it crashes almost immediately. It's odd because it works fine on some days and others it doesn't. Didn't used to be this erratic. Not sure what to do.

That is very odd.

Send us your dump file zip.  It's in your c:\programdata\stardock\galciv3 directory. It'll tell us exactly where it crashed on your PC.

Through the support ticket system and do you need all the zips in there or just one? (thanks for the help)

Wow that is the same thing happening to me and a friend.

We played yerterday several hours without any crash. And today we loaded the game and had about 5 crashes in 6 turn and then stopped playing.

Same here, lots of crashes (starting today) related to moving ships... =(

I can confirm it happens on any save I start, I can't play the game at all now. In the campaign I can't even get past turn 1.

As is see this with playing several games, the version 0.95 was the most stable and since 0.97 (even with many fixes) i have many more crashes.

Same here all random and unexpected(I just crashed), Well I already send a ticket on Friday

Crashes are bound to happen with big games, good that they planned to keep patching and working on the game :)

But i think the more interesting part with the problem i have is that we went through 80 turns with no crash and the next day had 5 crashes in 6 turn.

I crash constantly too. Usually when trying to double click ships out of orbit.

Please see my reply above if you are experiencing crashes. The data you submit helps us find why the crashing occurs so it can be addressed.

I don't crash much early game. After turn 150~ I average crash every 30 turns for no noticeable reason. I've never been able to complete a large game past 250~ or so turns, I usually get weird things like every-time I try and fight with a certain ship in a certain place, the game will crash. Or every time I invade a certain planet, the game will crash. I push past these problems with redundant saving and re-loading to avoid the incidents that causes the crash, but I eventually get check-mated where I have a ship, that when attacked, crashes the game, and it runs out of moves beside an enemy, and I haven't saved in an hour. Or I will hit end turn, it will over-write an autosave, then crash for an unknown reason each time I reload it.

I crash for so many different reasons that are replicatable or avoidable with reloads that I don't even know where to start with sending in a ticket. Although I have two games I  would quite like to be able to finish and can't.
