Crashes random, not mine??

1.0 totally clean (new) install.   This has gotten SO much better but still there X( .   I have games where i can go 50-100 turns (early-late game) with no problems.  But, at times it will crash 5-8 times over two turns.  I play through this hell and it mysteriously becomes stable again for the next 50-100 turns.

Try starting a game with pirates disabled and see if that fixes it. Sounds like a AI you can't see is doing something the game doesn't like and is making it crash.

Current game (same symptoms) have them disabled.  of course some pirates show up after a race is wiped out and in ship grave yards.
