Problems seeing each other games

Hello, me and a buddy recently got Gal Civs 3 on steam, and want to player together, he is in EU and I am in NA, is this affecting our ability to see one another games? We are able to play other steam 4x games together such as Civs 5, during the last week of the beta we were able to get into game together but since the game went live it seems he cannot see my games and I cannot see his.

There is a guy in the steam forums who experienced the same. He was able to fix it more or less. Check this thread:

We got it to work by changing the server in steam to where we both were on the same one. It is in Steam > Settings > Downloads.
