Is planetary invasion bugged?

The attacker always wins. Always. No matter what.

I've seen battle as lopsided as attacker power of ~2 vs a defender power of ~9 and attacker wins.

It seems like something is wrong.

In my games attacker usually wins but not always. Sometimes i have to use invasion tactics. If you have 15+b people with high approval and military academy, i think you can repel a single transport though... I agree that it should be nerfed

I guess I haven't seen such an extreme case as that yet, but it is pretty crazy that it takes that much to resist a single transport. So much so that it more or less isn't worth trying. I don't bother building any defense any more because it isn't a worthwhile investment.

According to the Devs, they are really going to be nerfing planetary invasion.  They are thinking of ways to improve it but nothing is concrete.

I don't see it like it was before. When I invade I see a victory or defeat screen immediately. Before there was a planet map and rolls and it worked like the combat viewer did and it looked decent. Is that feature removed or bugged?

End of DARCA1213's quote

There ware stability problems with it, so they removed it before the 1.00 release. It will be back in a different form.

I had my first defeat last night. Attacking Earth, I think it had 16 population, 100% approval, 10% defense (I don't recall exactly). I had a 5% chance of victory with a 4 pop transport. The second transport succeeded.

So even though I know it isn't strictly speaking bugged, it seems off-balance.
