Cannot play with friends, anyone else?

Hi, I just bought this game in hoping that I can play with my friends. However, there is no such option to invite friends in multiplayer. I tried using shift+tab to invite friends to game, and nothing happens.

Am I missing something?

Currently you have to make a game and they join by going into the multiplayer lobby, finding the host game and click join.
