Ship Designer Help

So, I have some serious concerns about the ship designer. Can anyone tell me how to fix these or are they by terrible design?


1. Turn off transparency of unplaced pieces (I can't see anything unless I place it). There are universal pieces at the bottom of the list that aren't transparent. So, I know this is possible.
2. Move pieces once placed? What if I just want to move it over one or two spots?
3. Undo button? I double-clicked the wrong part in the list and now it's gone? Go find it and re-scale it back? Start over?
4. Hotkeys in general.

1:You can make a custom race so you can see parts easier(changing the color of backgrounds and ui)

2:Offset button lets you do this. But its not moving the piece per say, its just moving its visual position.

3:I haven't found it yet, but to be honest over time I stopped caring for it since building is really easy and mistakes can be done over.

4:I believe I saw a few hotkeys, I may be wrong though.
