I just wanted to take this moment to thank Brad Wardell for creating an awesome game series, the team at Stardock for their hard work, and also the many founders who helped to make this game possible. I am happy to have been a founder myself and to see this game coalesce into what it is today.
I must admit I never really touched any of the older games as it caught my attention a bit later on. Still, I can tell from looking through the eyes and experiences of others, there was certainly a beauty to it worth discovering. I was hoping one day Stardock would do a newer one, and sure enough, they have. Never stop what you guys do. Whatever it is, there is a respect to it that I sometimes feel some others developers and studios have forgotten about with games:
It should never be work.
It should never take more time than you're willing to give it.
It should never frustrate you to the point of throwing it away.
I should, however, be fun and take you places far away.
Now obviously my words can be taken with as little or much grain of salt as one wishes since everyone has their own perspective on this. But, I'd like to think this is a good generalization.
With that said, I wish the best for you all in the future and should any of you happen to find a star named Tythra, you'll know why. Perhaps others could share what they named their star too.
To fans of Galactic Civilizations both old and new, to fans of 4X and/or sci-fi and space...
