[6.2] Battle viewer Crash Bug still present

My personal worst bug is still present in 6.2. When start a battle and go the viewer, every once in a while it freezes, and I have to crash the game.

Definately my number 1 bug on the list

Ticket?  I opened one but it was rejected because while I had the freeze on .95.5, I had started the game on .95 and loaded it after the .95.5 update.

Same here....

I can see one battle, but when I try to look at a second one, it hangs and I have to manually end it in the task manager. I save it at this moment just before the battle, and when I open the savegame I can enjoy that battle after restarting. But then it will hangup on another one.

Really frustrating when you have several battles in one turn, and you want to look at all of them to see how your ships behave (weak/strong points analysis). Really hope this is solved before it goes live

Heard something about it being tied to certain graphic drivers? Have a Geforce GT 750M with 4 Gb RAM myself, and have the latest GeForce driver installed. It seems like it doesn't reset properly after watching that one battle and when recalled upon just hangs.

End of AvatarRob's quote

That has been my own impression.  I have a GeForce GTX 780M, also with 4G, also with the latest driver.  I can usually watch more than two battles, but at some point it seems like I exceed some limit and get the problem.

I don't use the battle viewer anymore because its broken, keeps locking up so in order to play the game I just use the auto resolve button

Reply #13 has information you should consider.  It worked for me (reply #14).

Wow...that is odd....

Indeed I turned off trails, and have since then viewed 5 battles in a row, without any problems!

Is this the bug where your screen goes black and video card resets ?

No thats the invasion screen bug, this is the battle viewer bug where it freezes the game forcing you to crash it

Black screen when attempting to view battle. I then have to use Task Manager to kill it.

I usually just use the quick resolve to avoid the crash but sometimes I want to watch the battle and then it locks up....

As mentioned in another thread, turn off "Trails" in the graphics options.  The developers are working on a fix for that problem.  If you still see the problem after that, open a support ticket.
