Extreme Worlds
This is a general question on extreme worlds. There are two world types that appear not to be in the game even though their icons exist in the folder.
Where are the heavy worlds?
Where are the unstable worlds?

isn't radiation a extreme world?
Yes, I see radioactive worlds in game, however not able to locate the two in my post even though the icons appear in the game files.
Future DLC maybe?
Probably just ideas they had in development but decided not to implement. I'd be surprised if they're DLC this early, though they might be re-used in one later on (content that didn't fit into the base game or needed too much work, like espionage)
(Also, it's 'Heavy Gravity', not just Heavy)
Heavy would probably relate to heavy gravity or heavy air pressure. Unstable could relate to either unstable weather activity meaning planet wide super storms that frequently impact the planet or geologically unstable with highly active volcanoes and unstable tectonic activity spawning frequent earthquake events
I saw that they are included in the Wiki as possible future additions. If they are only discarded ideas iy would be good to know.
Heavy Gravity Worlds were in GC II. They might have been in at one time as part of the devlopment cycle for GC III, but replaced in favor of Frozen Worlds.
The problem with all these theories is the icons still exist in the game folder along with Unstable world (Lava) texture and gradiant So it appears that they may be in, soon, or in DLC's expansions, maybe they are holding them off till release ![]()

Well, I asked a while back in one of the devstreams about more Extreme Worlds coming in, and they said that they weren't thinking about doing it at the moment because it took too many normal habitable planets away if you have too many different type of Extreme Worlds (though more could always be modded in). My reckoning is they just never removed the icons, like they never removed the "Zombie Hipster Flesh" description.
Still, I can see more coming in via DLC/Expansion. Say if they limit the overall number of Extreme Worlds to X and then subdivde all of those up between A, B, C, D, E, F, G, and H.
They can add more if they want to. All I ask i9s that they allow the selection on the map to be completely random. I have noticed that they have obviously skewed the selection of extreme worlds to the high PQ planets. I like to play occasional habitable and it pisses me off no end when the first 3 planets I find are PQ 15 or above extreme planets. It wouldn't bother me near as much if 2 of the 3 were PQ 9 or less.
I guess the idea is to make them desirable and encourage a bee-line to the tech but it has the opposite affect on me. ![]()
Some world types have a small chance (5%) of being class 25-26. Others are stuck with their "low" class.
The basic Extreme worlds are stuck between 8 and 13. The more advanced Extreme worlds are 95% between 13-18 with a 5% chance of being 18-20.
It would be fairly easy to create a mod that modifies some of these - PlanetTraitDefs.xml
