Potential exploit with shipyard!

I have found an issue in game whereby in this example my shipyards sole sponsor (my capital) switches to 100% social production on the gov tab and yet when the shipyard is toggled to repeat build a ship, it will continue to churn said ships out as if it had full military production, in this case 1 ship a turn as my capital had around 300 manufacturing (hammers).

The shipyard in question displays that it isn't receiving any production as it displays turns till complete as a (-1) which is at least different from when it is supplied as then its just a (1). this may not be a bug and if that's the case forgive my lack of insight. however if it is the case that this is a bug that's basically creating free ships, then i thought you'd best know before launch.

I may not be active on the forums but i have played about 69 hours of beta now and i love the way its shaping up, just wanted to add something i hadnt seen on forums reported, thanks for a great game!

So upon further investigation, reason being i thought i was mistaking overflow for the free ships. i have discovered that when i place an order for a ship that would take 2 turns to create, once again set it to auto repeat and then cut of all sponsor production by switching to 100% social spending. the ships then come out once per turn despite with full military spending, it would have taken 2 turns. this however didn't last past 3 ships, which leads me to believe it must have been using accrued production. in any case, a small suggestion or rather a small request would be to have some tool tip display the total overflow collected thus far.

In any case il leave this post up as for a time i genuinely thought this was a bug and maybe others did too, and the tooltip would be handy for displaying overflow.

Cheers again.

I think there is such a tool tip... when you hover the mouse over the ship production area there should be a tool tip showing the overflow.

I may be stupid but i cant see what your referring too, i see the tool tip that displays current production being sent to the yard in this case it says 0/360 as im no longer sending production to it. but i cant see anywhere else that id expect to see an overflow tip.

Thanks for the response however.

Open the shipyard, then hover your mouse over the listing (bottom right) where the queued ships are displayed.  Make sure you are hovering on an empty spot, i.e. not on top of a queued ship.  Should show accumulated production.

This is correct, however I would note that if there is no accrued  production, then hovering in the indicated area shows nothing.   I think it ought to display "Zero accrued porduction" or some such to make it less confusing.

Ah thanks everyone for helping me discover this, feel a little silly for not noticing it before, had assumed it would be over with the shipyard data t the left. thanks for resolving my 'bug' everything is working as intended ^^
