Suggestion: Bombard (or destroy) Planets

Right now only invading with troops is possible?

Hi! Sometime in the past some late techs to destroy planets were discussed in the Stream but it seems they are gone for now and may come back in an Expansion (or not). But what about bombarding planets without destroying them? If you dont want to have 50+ Planets or the planet is very small and has bad bonuses it would be nice to be able to bombard it with your fleet to "destroy" all buildings and People on and move on to conquer the galaxy. Right now you Need a Transport and troops (Population) for every planet you want to conquer. If you are low on Population or cant afford transports just bombing them would be nice. What do you think?

You can do that, its not exactly the same, but if you go into a planet you own, go to Govern Planet, the left button option is destroy planet. It Sets it to an un-colonizable Class 0 dead Planet.

Ohhhhh yeah I think there are many peaple who want those techs :D

I also would be really happy if we have the possibility with the final techs to build a planet destroyer or something like that

and it would be more than great if there comes a nice, spectaculare annimation for that :D

Beam - give a EMP so all manufacturing is stopped, Approval takes a 50% hit. Slow

Missile - burrow so volcanic eruption starts... Fast but reduces planet quality.

Kenetic - All inferstructer is slowly destroyed leading to... Med speed with disease.

Thanks for the hint zim. But you would still Need a Transport with troops to conquer it first. Just bombing it dead (or maybe not completely class 0, just some reduction) would be nice. :)
