Durantium Refinery now +1 prodcution?

Was the change of the durentium refinery from +5 production to +1 intentional? If so its almost always better to build a tech tree's basic production buildings than the refinery. : /

yeah also the Thulium Data Archive only gives +10% research now, not worth it either . I think they were OP before so hopefully next patch will hit the sweet spot :)

I think you mainly want it for its adjacency bonus now. It's still good, just not as overwhelming as it was.

Its adjacency bonus isn't worth it either. Solar Power planet is arguably better, particularly because you can upgrade it.

And the same for the Antimatter power plant. It has been slashed from 5 to +2 and adjacency was all it was good for. Paul was bragging about that one. Goodbye, we hardly knew ye.

One thing to factor is that its +1 production, so it helps manu, research, and wealth.

So if you are growing a base with heavy research labs...an extra +1 production may get you a lot more than the research building...at least for short term gains.

This is for the Antimatter improvement isn't it? So you would get that bonus anywhere you placed it and adjacency wouldn't matter, right?

And I try to specialize as much as possible so having all three + prod is less valuable, no?  Yeah, I did notice the nerf bat, which one was needed, but did it need to be Babe Ruth's 60 HR bat?

I donno. The adjacency bonus + production that doesn't require me to burn up tiles for farms + approval buildings. It's not terribal. Unlike the research building.

Yeah, I don't think the refinery is amazing anymore but it still has use. Agreed that the thulium building is garbage, unless you are surrounded by 3 or more tiles the basic research building provides more.

I also feel that way about the antimatter reactor. The adjacency bonus doesn't make up for no base bonus.

Why use a refinery instead of a solar power array and its upgrades? As well one strategic resource for a refinery? Not worth it.

You can only have 1 solar power array. I'm swimming in strategic resources. I also have a planet arrangement that was able to support a few of these.
