Shooting Stars

I am used to seeing shooting stars quite regularly.   However, since 0.95 (approx, not completely sure) instead of a shooting star the entire screen just flashes white.   It's a little annoying.

1) Might be handy to have a toggle for the shooting stars.

Of course I can supply a full supppot tool and etc. if it is of any use.

I am going to try rebooting and maybe refreshing the prefs.ini file, maybe that will help.

Not really because it is just a instant flash.  Plus, I don't see meteors at all any more.  So it is kind of frustrating.   Perhaps I could try to get a video of it with Jing...I will thy that.

 

I might point out I am playing on excessive. Perhaps I should go small and see if it is different.

UPDATE.

I tried a small game and guess what, no problem.   Meteors appeared from time to time normally, the date flashed as usual, and no bright white full screen flash.   So I went back to my excessive game...and...same thing.

Perhaps the game just needed to get restarted.  Perhaps something in the background (behind the screen having to do with Windows) was doing it.   I dunno.   When I see it again I will try to get a  video as I said, but right now the $%^&^! thing has gone back into hiding.

Thanks for your patience, this had been going on for some time (a day or so) before I reported it.   Just as quick, gone.   Let's hope it was just a ghost of computers of the past, or something.
