I try not to have strong reactions to things, especially in games, and especially especially in beta... but boy howdy do I DESPISE the new lighting.
Ships are seem to have become super bright and super reflective.
Or is this just me?
I run everything from maxed out strategic zoom, so never see the ships, so can't comment on that I'm afraid. But I like the new background lighting.
Make sure you start a new game. Lighting across the board on my old save is screwed up. Kael mentioned that this is because they changed the XML values.
Oh yeah, I've started many new games, no worries.
