I have been messing around with the beta for several hours and I can't seem to figure out how to properly mine. I have built starbases with mining rigs, but I can't seem to make them mine the local resource. Another race will come near me, and build a starbase and claim the mine. I have the interstellar mining tech. What am I missing?

mining is for resources like durantium, antimatter, etc
for mining you use mining ring and its various upgrades.
not to be confused with relics which usually have a name like economic relic or culture relic.
for relics you use xeno archology lab or whatever its called and its various upgrades.
right now there seems to be a bug that minor's can hijack your resources as in they place a starbase there and just take it over that seems to be what your describing
as far as i know this is not supposed to happed and i assume they will fix it shortly
I completely misread what I was looking at. I thought it said mining when it said military. When I got a mining rig in place I was good to go. Thank you for your response.
