AI surrender to another nation not working

In my games, when an AI player is at war with another AI, if it surrenders to me, it does not always work.

I keep receiving the message every turn, but nothing ever really happens.  Sometimes, it seems to work, other times, it stays like that forever.
I saved a game where this happenned, in case devs wants to see it.

I got the same bug. Same thing until one time it asked to end the war... which I did. It then fixed it. Very annoying bug.

On a related note, what is the logic behind who the AI surrenders to? In GC2, empires would rarely surrender to you. Anybody but you.

It would be nice if the player had some (diplomatic) influence on the AI's decision.

This sounds like a bug that should be reported ASAP.  Please go open a support ticket for it, especially if you have a saved game that exhibits the behavior where you get the message every turn.  Instructions for how to open a support ticket are at the bottom of this post.  You can attach your saved game to the ticket.

I gather this is the proper way to report technical bugs in the beta?  Well, I'll use this instead of the forum then :)

Having been here since the alpha test, I have seen how the forums have been used and how the developers have been reacting to posts.  The Beta Feedback forum has mostly been used to discuss various aspects of the game and to suggest improvements.  The Support forum has been used to report bugs.  The developers look for bug reports first in the support forum, and when they have time, in the feedback and general forums; if they find a bug report in one of the other forums they often move it to the support forum, however the support forum is the one that is the most closely monitored.

Bug reports for UI issues, typos, etc that can be adequately described in a forum post are fine to report in the support forum.  More serious bugs, especially those that require additional information (such as .dmp files for crashes and saved games for reproduceable bugs) require a ticket to be opened, since this puts them higher on the developer's priority list and allows the submission of the additional files.  However these should also be posted in the support forum, with the associated ticket number, so that the rest of the testers can see them (Seilore, in particular, has been maintaining a complete list of bugs reported in the forum since Beta 4 - it's in a pinned post in the support forum).

Since we're about to enter Beta 6, the last beta, it is important to get these bugs reported in a way that will get the developers attention the most quickly.

And thanks, redviper37, for any bug reports you do submit.  Every little bit helps.
