Game Crash While Loading

Just downloaded the latest version today and I get the following errors:

Is anybody else having the same problems, or is some file corrupted?

I did the opt-in patch and had the same problem, tried re-installing it without the patch but it still happened. Never had an issue before this.

Support ticket VWL-701-76194 has been submitted. It appears that the game is not installing properly.

Ticket XTK-617-27340 reporting with the same issue. I've found that %programdata%\Stardock\ < This location isn't available and both Verifying your Game Cache within Steam and Refreshing your Steam Files has no impact. 

 

Also worth noting that all the folders in mygames/galciv3 are empty - i get the feeling the issue is some of the files are missing from the download location.

 

BB01847, if you get a resolution could you post it here too. The ticket i've opened will be a drawn out process because i'm in Australia currently and the timezone issue is a pain.

I would suspect that it has something to do with a fresh install, since I have tried to install this on a new laptop. I can almost bet that I would not have this issue on my desktop at home since the game has been installed on my desktop since beta 2, I think.

This issue is still unresolved. Even after doing a full uninstall / install and opting-in on beta 6.

It seems that Steam does not really uninstall everything that is related to a game when you select Remove Local Content. As was suggest by Brad Ather for the third time after uninstalling and re-installing, I had to go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\ and delete the Galactic Civilizations III folder. I am happy to report that it did the trick and the game is running.
