Simultanious actions cause game to lock up

stability issues the biggest draw back currently.

So I know part of the process to allow the game to go faster is that ships and events are expected to be moving and happening simultaneously.   However, Currently this is the biggest cause of lockups or crashes for me.

If I end the turn, and have say two colony ships arrive, two ships get attacked, and the UP meeting start... all of the popups happen right away and about half the time the game freezes or stops before it resolves the action.

Is there a way we can tell the game to resolve A before going to action B when playing in single player mode?

End of quote

actually thats kind of backwards what the goal is/was,  to allow multiple players to plan their actions during each others turns and then the ships would move at the end of each players turn

for single player there is no reason you cant move your ships at any point during your turn..

of course this doesent help the problem that yes when 2+ ships stumble on various events at the same time it causes problems but that has nothing to do with making the game faster

an annoying work around is not to actually move your ships to the event for example move them 1 unit shy of that anomaly or 1 unit shy of that planet and then cycle through them with idle ship to finish one at a time

Which is all great... until you get into a war and have the AI player move their ships into combat and have ten combat popups happen in a row and then the game hangs.

So far i have  yet to have the game make it past 6 simultaneous events without a hang and while my system specs are not astronomical... they are not bad

AMD A10- 7850K  16G ddr-1800 ram  r9-280 GPU  60G ssd dedicated cache drive.

So I suspect there are process handling errors in the game code that they still need to get completely sorted out.     In my opinion that should be the biggest focus right now.  The game while not "finished"  is already way more fun to play than GCII and I spend hours playing that.     However not being able to finish a 5.3 game once I start a war is bothersome.

I would recommend creating support ticket...

For support where examining saves is required, names of ships, planets and starbases, etc, are extremely helpful in their attempts to reproduce the issue.
