.83 Issues

from GalCiv3 Forums

Just had the .83 patch download and install. Started a brand new game and with my first ideology choice, I chose pragmatic's 3 free constructors. I only received one, not three.

 

Edit: Correction. I actually got three but was unable to see the other two as they were in an asteroid field and were completely invisible until I clicked on them and I wasn't given the option to move them until the following turn...

Just loaded a saved game to continue playing .83 and found that more of my colonized planets lost their pics under the planets tab:

Avatar, what are you using to make screenshots and edit them>? 

 

I find your pics very helpful and would like to post issues as I find them with pics as well.

Not sure what he's using, but I use Jing (free) to capture the image and Dropbox to share it.

At least in the Drengin tech tree low mass carriers has no effect on the mass of a carrier module.  I put a ticket in.

Since it's a Steam game you could just use the built in Screenshot button (F12 default, I think), and then link to the picture on steam, or find the picture on disk and upload it to a different site. Paint works fine for marking things/editing.

 

Funnily enough, I can't actually see the pictures Avatar posts in my usual browser. Probably one of my extensions (though I usually can see pictures). I see them fine in IE though.

Larsenex, I just hit the "print screen" button and then alt tab to Window's Paint program and paste and crop/edit from there. No extra software needed. ;)

Only the top 5-6 players at the vote can be chosen, so if you are not in the top 5-6 power you will not be able to vote for yourself.

I have also had a non-aggression pact with a minor race for over 100 turns and I am unable to break it. How long does it last? Why can't I break it?

Only the top 5-6 players at the vote can be chosen, so if you are not in the top 5-6 power you will not be able to vote for yourself.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or working as intended. Just had another UP vote and the Altarians did not show as voting. Does that mean they are leaving the UP, defying them?

Just had this happen for the third time in this game. I engage in a battle, doesn't matter whether it's an orbital, starbase, or at an anomoly fight. When I switch to the battle viewer all three of my screens cut out like there' no connection to the video card and then they come back on. My main screen with the game only has the in game cursor. The game is still running, I can hear the battle, but I can't get the game to render on screen after that and have to kill the process.

This has been reported by a number of people (including me) and the developers asked that each of us open a support ticket so that they can get as much information as they can.

Had two constructors stacked and clicked on the construct button and got a CTD. This happened within the first turn of loading a saved game.

Now that I'm in first place in all categories and by over 100 points for a power position the 2nd election came up and I was listed (though still no pic) and I was the only one to vote for myself. lol Before, everyone would vote for me when I was #1, or at least if I had very high influence, not this time!

Having the exact same problem as this.  Got tired of reloading game only to have this happen in the next battle.  Just as I was coming from behind in strength.  }:)
